Frederik Schandorff - Le Mans 2022

Frederik Schandorffs path into motorsport looks very much like the standard description of how to get into racing. Early start in karting and then change to Formula Ford as soon as possible. The switch to Formula Ford was done in 2013 and he was a quick learned because he won the Danish Championship in Formula Ford already in 2014. But then he broke away from the standard path and instead of continuing climbing the Formula car ladder, he switched to the Danish Thundersport Championship. It was the main championship in Denmark in those days but a world apart from the nimble Formula Ford.
He did well in DTC and managed also to build up contacts to GT-racing abroad. This lead to a breakthrough in 2019 where he first won the Lamborghini Super Trofeo Middel East championship. This lead to a start in the Lamborghini World Finals and he jumped at the opportunity and won the World Finals as well.
Another championship win followed in 2020 - this was in the Silver-class in the GT World Challenge Europe Endurance Cup. And he continued riding the wave in 2021 where he won the International GT Open. These results has opened for opportunities in both USA and Europe and in 2022 he has had his debut in the Daytona 24 Hours and the Le Mans 24 Hours.
