Le Mans 2020 was a long fight for a podium for Marco Sørensen and Nicki Thiim. During the whole race they were 3rd or 4th and it was not until the final hours 3rd place was secured.
A podium at Le Mans is always something special but in 2020 it was even more important as it gave double points for the World Championship, which the two Danes won later in the year.
This was their last Le Mans as Aston Martin works drivers. The works team was dissolved at the end of the year as Aston Martin entered F1.
