Nicklas Nielsen drove at Le Mans for the first time in 2020 for the AF Corse team in a Ferrari. He did not get much time to think about the huge task ahead of him, for right from the start - where he drove the car - the Ferrari was among the fastest cars in the class and it continued to fight for the leading positions for all 24 hours.
Nicklas took more than his share of the work ending up with driving the car for 11½ hours. As the icing on the cake he also drove the car across the finish line, and it was hard work all the way. The 4 best cars in the class were all at the same lap and only 12 seconds separated 2nd from 4th at the finish.
Nicklas nicked the last podium with 3rd place. A spectacular debut at Le Mans which became even more important later in the year where the points for 3rd place helped to secure the World Championship.
