This Corvette was made for one specific race: The European Plafit Championship in Copenhagen 2008. The rules for the race were very strict and only one type of Plafit chassis' was allowed. For bodies you could choose from a small list of homologated bodies - among those a Corvette C6.
The car was a joint venture of three teams: Scuderia Pooh supplied the chassis, 1st-house racing supplied the body and the legendary Neckcheese Racing supplied know-how and general hype. With such combined forces it had to be an excellent car. We were given number 36 for the race and we were also obliged to mount Plafit stickers at the car. This did not excactly improve the look of the car - but those were the rules we had to follow.
At the initial test of the car at our own track, the car was fantastic. Straight from the workbench we were able to clock times very close to the track record! Even better: The car was very easy to drive. The expectations for the race went skyhigh.
But we soon hit the ground. The racetrack was much grippier than we were used to and the car did not handle too well. So we did not win.....but we did not come last either!
